FREEDOM

FREEDOM

They say that the greatest freedom of all is not being afraid of tomorrow because you are happy with what you've done today.

Well, this time last year I took the plunge and started Lois Pedley Art. If I was going to reach a wider audience and fund my expensive passion, it was time to be brave and start selling my work.

So that's what I've done. I've sold originals, as hard as they are to part with. I've so far launched 12 limited edition prints, all from my original Artworks, and I have 4 more prints ready to release with many more to come. I have taken on commissions and received amazing feedback from my customers. I have a website, my very own .com that is taking orders and giving me a wider platform to grow and sell from. I have work displayed in a beautiful pub, which also gave me the push to get business cards and promotional postcards made, both of which I designed.

I've connected with people all over the world, made great connections and friends, and I've been able to share advice with other artists who have reached out to me. I've seen a difference being made because I have value to add to the world. That was a big hurdle of belief for me to overcome but the testimonials I receive show my work resonates with people.

When I think about it, I've actually achieved a lot in a year. I feel free and each day creating Art makes me excited for tomorrow. And, I'm not afraid to say that I am proud of myself. I'm proud of myself as an Artist and of the work I create.

And I've only just begun. My Art journal is full of ideas, titles and series of works I plan to do. My sketchpad is full of studies to work from. I have more commissions coming in all the time. I am working on a special limited edition that will be released soon. Also, I'm ready to start another chapter with my Art and start selling my photographs.

It's crazy. It really is. A few paintings and drawings has turned my passion into something so much more. I'm going to have the life I always wanted, and I'm gonna do it bigger than anyone who ever told me I can't.

P.s. Love this photo too much not to use it again 😂
