SOMETIMES LESS IS MORE
It was Paul Klee that said "A line is a dot that went for a walk" and I just love that because it instills in us to give life to what we draw. I looked back in my sketchbooks I've been using this year at the studies, lines and marks I've made and this rose is one of my favourites. I put pen to paper and that initial dot led to a single line drawing of a rose I dreamed in that moment. As in life I went back over my tracks to go in different directions, went with the flow in some places and ended up with this beautiful drawing I will never be able to replicate exactly if I tried. Because that's just it isn't it, we are all living our own paths, going at our own speeds, growing in our own way, unlike anyone else. Filling the world with rich and beautiful souls embarking on their own journeys. When we grow as people, our dots, our first steps, well they go for a walk, bumpy roads come and highlight reels shine. In the end we all create our own picture. Where has yours taken you?
